1. What is the course about?

The "Perspectives on the World Christian Movement" Course is a dynamic course where you'll discover what God is doing around the world and consider your part in His purposes. This correspondence version is designed to make this powerful course accessible to people residing anywhere in India.

2. Are there any minimum requirements for the course?

This course is for all Christians. It is in a high standard of English and so you should be comfortable in English. You will also need an MP3 player or computer with which you can listen to the MP3 files in the audio CD, and have access to email in order to email your learning activities like quizzes etc. to your mentor.

3. How much does the correspondence course cost?

Rs. 750/- (for students residing in India)

4. How do I register for the course?

You can register via the registration form available on our website or email info@perspectives.in  with your Name, Phone, Address, Email Id. You will also need to send Rs 750 by MO/DD in favour of 'Frontier Education Society' toFrontier Education Society, Logos Centre, Horamavu Agara P.O, Bangalore-560043.

5. How does the correspondence course work?

When you sign up for the correspondence course you will receive:

  1. The Perspectives Notebook – This is your textbook. It contains11 lessons made up of articles interspersed with guide notes.

  2. folder (file) – containing your schedule, quiz sheets, personal response sheets, personal strategy sheets etc.

  3. An audio CD – with MP3 audio files of the orientation and introductions to the lessons

  4. A data CD – contains soft copies of all the documents in your folder and transcripts of the audio orientation and lesson audio introductions

You will first listen to the 20 minute audio orientation which will provide a broad overview about how the course works.

You will need to select a level at which you would like to take the course (there are 4 levels) and complete the learning activities required for that level. The main learning activities are listening to the lesson introductions and doing the lesson readings. There are 11 lessons which will take around 6-8 hours per week. You will be assigned a mentor with whom your will interact via email throughout the course. Depending on the level you choose you will need to submit your quizzes etc. to your mentor via email.

6. What are the learning activities I will need to do during the course?

Depending on your course level, you will need to:

  • Listen to the lesson introductions in the Audio CD
  • Read the lessons in your Perspectives Notebook
  • Recap by doing the open book Quizzes
  • Respond by emailing your Personal Response pages
  • Give feedback on the Lessons and Audio CD introductions
  • Review your learning by taking the Mid Term and Final Exams
  • Read in depth Supplementary Readings found at the back of the Perspectives Notebook
  • Apply in real life by doing a Project
  • Create a personal action plan by filling out your Personal Strategy
  • Interact online with other students if you wish

7. How much time do I need to set aside to do the course?

The course is spread over a period of 14 weeks. The readings will take approximately 6-8 hours per week. Depending on the level at which you are taking the course your time requirements will vary. Refer to the table below to get an idea:
